Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account info — your email address, and your name/avatar if you sign in with Google.
- Journey content — milestones, photos, and any channel/profile URLs you provide, plus public data imported from a YouTube channel, either by you or by OGROTI when it prepares a page for a creator (see section 4).
- Account type — whether you use OGROTI as a creator or as a brand and, for brands, the brand name and website you give us.
- Collab requests and replies — the messages brands send to creators through OGROTI and the creators' answers (see section 5).
- Delivery details — for a collab with a product, the creator's name, delivery address and phone number, used only to send them the product (see section 5).
- Usage data — basic product analytics (pages viewed, journeys published) used to understand how OGROTI is used, collected with cookies and similar browser storage.
2. How we use it
To create and host your journey page, authenticate you, send transactional email (sign-in links, confirmations, claim invitations), generate preview/share images, and run collabs between brands and creators (see section 5), and improve the product. We don't sell your data.
4. YouTube data
OGROTI uses YouTube API Services. When a journey is built from a YouTube channel, we read that channel's public information through the YouTube Data API: channel name, description, profile image, video titles, thumbnails and publish dates, and subscriber, view and video counts. We use it only to build and display that channel's journey page. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising. We get it only through the official API: we don't scrape YouTube, don't download or re-host videos, and can't see private videos or channel analytics.
YouTube's handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Subscriber, view and video counts we store are refreshed from YouTube daily, and removed if YouTube no longer provides them (for example, a video is deleted or made private).
A journey page may be prepared from a public channel before its creator joins OGROTI. We email the creator an invitation to claim it. Claiming means accepting a consent statement, and if the claim comes from a different email address the page stays private until the claimer proves they control the channel. A creator can edit or unpublish their page at any time, or ask us to remove it, without an account, by writing to hello@ogroti.net. We delete the stored YouTube data within 7 days of a deletion request.
If you signed in to OGROTI with Google, you can revoke OGROTI's access to your Google account at any time from Google security settings.
5. Collab requests and replies
Brands contact creators through OGROTI, never directly. When a brand sends a collab request, we keep the brand's name, brand, email address and message, and the creator's answer and any terms they send. OGROTI reads these messages to run the collab and to keep the platform safe, for example to stop spam or abuse.
OGROTI handles the communication between the brand and the creator. Neither side is given the other's email address, phone number or address: a creator sees the brand's name and message, and a brand sees where its request is.
For a collab with a product, the brand sends the product to OGROTI, we check its condition, and we send it on to the creator. For this we ask the creator for a delivery address and phone number. We share them only with our courier, never with the brand. We photograph each product when it reaches us, as a record of its condition.
When a creator says yes to a collab or sends their terms, they accept OGROTI's Creator Terms and acknowledge the Creator Privacy Notice, which explains in more detail how creators' data is handled. We record which versions they accepted and when, with the IP address and browser used, as proof of that agreement.
We don't use collab messages for advertising, and we don't sell them.
6. Public journeys
Anything you mark public — including uploaded photos and milestone content — is visible to anyone with the link, may appear in Discover, and can be indexed by search engines. Treat "public" as genuinely public.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data as long as your account exists. You can delete a journey at any time from your dashboard; deleting your account removes your profile and journeys. Contact us if you need help with a deletion request. Stored YouTube data is deleted within 7 days of a request.
Collab requests and replies, and the photos of collab products, are kept for 2 years after a request is closed, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
A creator's delivery address and phone number are deleted within 90 days of the product being delivered.
Product analytics data is kept for no longer than 13 months.
We keep a separate, tamper-proof record of invitations, consent, claims, channel verification, acceptance of the Creator Terms, publishing and deletions — including the email address, IP address and browser involved — for 5 years, as proof of consent. This record is kept even after a journey or account is deleted.
8. Your rights
You control what you publish and can unpublish or delete a journey at any time.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or delete it, withdraw consent you have given, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance with us. Email us to do any of these; withdrawing consent doesn't affect what we did before you withdrew it.
9. Children
OGROTI is for people aged 18 or over. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will suspend it and handle their data as the law requires.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
